The year was 1967 and Chrysler had just given Plymouth the green light to put the 426 HEMI in its all new GTX trim level on the Belvedere. Plymouth was ecstatic to say the least! They quickly created an ad campaign and hit the nail on the head: "They Don't Call It King Kong For Nothing."
